CARD Bank’s fun run for a secured future

CARD Bank, Inc., a microfinance-oriented rural bank will hold its first fun run for children and their family to engage them in a recreational activity that will teach them the value of savings. Maagap Fun Run 2015: “Takbo tungo sa magandang simula ng matagumpay na bata,”the theme of the fun run, will happen on May 23, 2015 in SM City San Pablo.

“Our today’s children will also walk on where we are today. We must prepare them for a better and brighter future through educating them the importance of savings. Let’s help our children be financially prepared,” shared by Mrs. Dolores M. Torres, the President and CEO of CARD Bank, Inc.

The fun run will also highlight a financial literacy seminar for all participants. Mrs. Torres said that the fun run will be a venue not only for family bonding but for developing savings habit of children as well.

The fun run has two different categories: (1) a 5K solo run for 18 year old individuals and above; and (2) a 3K family run composed of four members, two adults (parents and/or guardian) and two children 7-15 years old. Families who will register for the 3K category will receive 500 worth of “CARDEE Cash” that can be used to purchase thirst quenching products available in every pit stop. Interested participants can register for only P200.00. Participants will receive singlet and Maagap Gift Card (MGC) worth P120.00. MGC can be used by the participating kids to open an account or deposit it with their existing Maagap Account at CARD Bank, Inc. Other participants can give or donate the MGC to children and help them start saving.
