Community health day benefits kindergarten

A total of 479 kindergarten pupils from Dasmarinas, Cavite benefited from the Community Health Day of CARD SME Bank on October 18, 2018. Majority of these children are dependents of the microfinance clients of the bank.

Medical consultation, optical, and dental check-up (that includes tooth extraction) were among the services rendered during the said activity. It was conducted by the bank in collaboration with the Microfinance and Health Protection (MaHP) program of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) where the CARD SME Bank is a member institution.

Community Health Day is one of the community-development initiatives of CARD MRI that aims to improve the health situation of the microfinance clients and their beneficiaries who have low or no access to health care.

“This health program intends to reach our clients and their dependents nationwide. We believe that health must be a priority in our quest for social development and poverty eradication,” said Mr. Aristeo A. Dequito, President and CEO of CARD SME Bank.

CARD SME Bank aims to empower the socio-economically challenged families in the country. As of September 2018, the bank has a total of P5.9 billion total assets and more than 254 offices nationwide covering more than 725,000 MSMEs.
