Free healthcare services for MFI clients

The three microfinance institutions (MFIs) of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) namely CARD Bank, Inc., Rizal Bank, Inc., and CARD SME Bank, Inc., through the Microfinance and Health Protection (MaHP) Unit simultaneously conducted Community Health Day (CHD) in Tibig, Tarlac; Binangonan, Rizal; and Agoncillo Batangas on October 3, 2018. More than 1,100 microfinance clients and their beneficiaries benefited from the said activity, which includes dental, medical, and optical services. The CHD is one of the community-development initiatives of CARD MRI designed to bring and provide healthcare services to its clients and families in the marginalized sector. Since January 2018, a total of 104 CHDs were already conducted nationwide serving more than 170, 000 individuals. CARD MRI is a group of 21 development-oriented institutions that aims to eradicate poverty in the country through microfinance and community development programs like health, education, and capacity building, among others.
