CARD MRI continues disaster relief operation on 110k affected CARD clients

As typhoon Ursula traversed in the country during Christmas Eve, CARD MRI through its staff and clients spent their holiday in bringing aid to families who were greatly affected by the strong typhoon on December 2019.

As of January 8, 2020, the number of affected clients is 110, 733 with 82, 674 relief packs distributed, amounting of PHP 13,287,960. 

Eastern Visayas and other parts of Southern Luzon were badly hit by the typhoon. The province of Leyte, Eastern Samar, Aklan, Biliran, Tacloban City were placed under state of calamity due to the damage of properties, critical facilities, and safety of the public. 

The power of family spirit

The institution performs its fastest way to give help to the clients who were affected by the typhoon. 

The staff and other clients volunteered to provide relief assistance as part of their immediate action to aid the distressed clients through repacking of goods, medicines and evaluation of the damage caused by the typhoon. CARD MRI ensures that their clients will benefit on the programs offered by the institution mostly during unexpected calamities.

The gift of giving and teamwork with the burning passion to help the people in need is evident as they work on Christmas Day. 

Flordeliza Sarmiento, the Managing Director of CARD MRI, emphasized the preparedness of the organization and commended the hard work of each staff in giving hands to stricken communities.
