BotiCARD installs MedHatid Agents; ensures quality medicine supplies in every household

Posted on September 27, 2021

To deliver quality generic medicines in a fast and safe way to more communities in San Pablo City, Laguna amid the intermittent community quarantines in the country, BotiCARD stationed MedHatid Agents who are clients of CARD MRI’s financial institutions, CARD, Inc. (A Microfinance NGO), CARD Bank, CARD SME Bank, and CARD MRI RIZAL BANK.

MedHatid, which was launched in April 2020, is BotiCARD’s online delivery service that aims to bring the pharmacy’s health and hygiene products to the doorsteps of every resident in the community. Now, the service reaches new heights by tapping MedHatid Agents who will bring over-the-counter products like fever-reducers, first-aid medicines, pain relievers, and vitamins to their communities weekly.

“By tapping CARD MRI members as MedHatid Agents, we are able to directly reach more people and provide them with quality medicines. They do not have to leave their homes and risk their health to acquire their family’s needs,” BotiCARD Chairman and President Rosenda P. Aquino, RPh. shared.

Recommended by their respective Area and Unit Managers, the MedHatid Agents are qualified clients of CARD MRI that are either konek2CARD Agents or CARD center officials. They are tasked to collect orders, directly communicate with the pharmacy assistant regarding collected orders, distribute orders, and receive the customer’s payment using konek2CARD, a mobile banking application that allows clients to do their banking transactions in the comfort of their homes.

According to CARD MRI Managing Director Aristeo A. Dequito, the use of konek2CARD in BotiCARD’s online delivery channel, MedHatid, is proof that CARD’s digital initiatives are most vital today. “Once again it has become evident that our digital transformation is practical and convenient. It enhanced our service delivery to our members and propelled us to look for better and simpler ways to transact with our clients.”

Further, integrating digital technologies like konek2CARD in online services like MedHatid also fulfills CARD MRI’s goal of bringing its services to areas determined as High Impact Growth Zone (HIGZ).

CARD MRI Founder and Chairman Emeritus Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip stressed the importance of digital technologies as CARD MRI seeks to reach 20 million clients by 2030.

“CARD MRI will continue to address the multifaceted nature of poverty in the Philippines. We will utilize technology to speed up our services for our members, especially those in HIGZ. With our concerted efforts, we will continue with our mission and purpose to break free from the shackles of poverty,” Dr. Alip concluded.

MedHatid’s new program will undergo pilot testing in the third week of September in San Pablo City, in October in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro and Lipa, Batangas, and in November in Masbate City, Davao City, and San Carlos City, Pangasinan.
