CARD MRI and Red Cross SPC chapter to hold bloodletting again

CARD MRI together with the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) San Pablo City Chapter set another bloodletting activity on May 30, 2015 from eight o’clock in the morning to three in the afternoon at CARD MRI head office in City Subdivision, San Pablo City.

San Pableños who are in good health and from 16 to 60 years old are invited to participate in this effort. Those who are 16 to 17 years old must accomplish a parent’s consent.

“Interested donors should not worry if they do not know exactly their health status especially their BPs because a physical and health assessment during the day of blood donation will take place,” said Marilyn M. Manila, Director of CARD MRI Community Development Group.

Bloodletting has been a regular effort of CARD MRI in support to PNRC’s advocacy. This also underlines the thrust of the institution to provide assistance to all its members and staff when they need blood transfusion.

To date, CARD MRI already conducted two bloodletting activities and successfully generated and turned over 52 bags of blood to PNRC.

According to studies, one donation can help save the lives of up to three people.
