Shaping future entrepreneurs

CARD-MRI Development Institute (CMDI) Tagum Campus has started its Academic Year by welcoming not just Senior High School learners but also students for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship with specialization in Microfinance. CMDI successfully got an approval from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to fully operationalize its degree program in entrepreneurship in Tagum Campus starting this year. The Chairperson of CMDI, Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip, who also sits as the dean of the Business and Management Department in the campus personally welcomed the learners and students. Dr. Alip emphasized that the institution’s thrust is to develop future entrepreneurs who can be instrumental in addressing the various social issues the Philippines are experiencing, one of which is poverty. To Dr. Alip, developing an entrepreneurial mindset is one of the key factors in alleviating poverty. As for the AY 2018-19, the campus has 385 and 30 senior high school learners under ABM and ICT Tracks, respectively, and 160 students in BSE.
