CARD MRI provides healthcare services to Zambaleños

CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) conducted three community health days (CHDs) in Zambales benefitting more than 1,300 individuals in the communities of San Narcisso, Subic, and Olongapo City.

CARD MRI delivers medical, optical, and dental check-up to these communities to bring healthcare services closer to socioeconomically challenged families.

“We primarily consider the needs of our clients and their families and one of these is healthcare services,” Marilyn M. Manila, the Director of the Community Development Group, said. “We go to communities that don’t have access to healthcare services yet. Because of inaccessibility and unaffordability, most of the members of these communities do not prioritize medical care,” she added.

Manila also shared that the community health day is not limited to CARD MRI members and their dependents. “All are welcome to check their health and wellness.”

Aside from the free check-ups, CARD MRI, through BotiCARD, provides discounted medicines to the patients of the said health day.

CARD MRI considers many aspects in helping the poor improve their lives. We believe that a healthy community is important in reaching social development. CARD has been providing healthcare programs and services to the communities it serves since 2006.
