Mga Likha ni Inay welcomes iconic PHL Madrigal Singers

The San Pablo City-based retail chain store, Mga Likha ni Inay (MLNI), welcomed the arrival of the world’s most awarded chorale group, the Philippine Madrigal Singers, on Saturday, March 25 prior its much awaited performance in the city.

“We, at Mga Likha ni Inay, support local talents; and, to welcome this iconic Filipino chorale group is both an honor and privilege,” said Julius Adrian R. Alip, president and CEO of MLNI, a member of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI).

Reaching the unreachable

The core advocacy of the Madz, as they are popularly called stated in their corporate website, is to perform in far-flung areas of the Philippines seldom reached by choral artists.

Like the Madz, Mga Likha ni Inay aims to create an impact to hard-to-reach communities by being the bridge that links their products to a wider audience. “We ignite passion and let everyone realize that the Filipinos, especially the creation of our mothers, can compete in the mainstream market,” Alip said adding that the microentrepreneurs MLNI are assisting mostly do not have access and full capacity to compete in the market.

The concept of Mga Likha ni Inay is a dream realized. In 2014, from just a marketing program, Mga Likha Ni Inay is now a separate entity adding to the growing family of CARD MRI.

“We pursued this to reinforce our commitment of promoting locally sourced materials created by micro-entrepreneurs, who are mostly in rural communities where CARD MRI operates,” Alip added.

To date, Mga Lika ni Inay is supporting more than 1,000 local micro-entrepreneurs nationwide who are currently suppliers for MLNI’s various needs of raw materials for food, apparel, and furniture products.

“San Pablo City is blessed to host and witness the world class performance of the Madz,” said Ambassador Romy Manalo, who also co-sponsored the benefit concert, adding that the beneficiaries of the said effort are the high school Indigenous People from San Pablo who wanted to finish their schooling.

This is the first time for the Madz to perform in San Pablo City. The concert is themed as “Himig ng Pitong Lawa” complementing San Pablo City’s well-known seven lakes. The benefit concert was made realized through the Bro. James Dunne S.J. Scholars Association, Inc., CARD MRI, and other local sponsors.
