MLNI, Benilde hold workshop for MSMEs

Mga Likha ni Inay (MLNI), together with the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB), held a seminar-workshop for microentrepreneur clients of CARD MRI on November 30, 2019 at Maharlika Square in San Pablo City, Laguna.

Entitled “Strategic Marketing for Entrepreneurs,” the event aims to equip microentrepreneurs, who are also MLNI suppliers, with knowledge on marketing their products and services to the wider market.

More than 40 microentrepreneurs specializing in handicrafts benefitted from the program. They hailed from Pampanga, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.

The event is the second seminar-workshop organized by MLNI for its suppliers. It was facilitated by representatives from the School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPaCE) of the DLS-CSB.

Among the topics discussed were event organizing and marketing through social media channels.

Said MLNI President and Chairperson Marilyn M. Manila, the event is their way to support their suppliers beyond financial means.

“This is part of MLNI’s commitment to provide holistic assistance to our clients. Aside from marketing their products through our MLNI outlets, we want to help them grow as entrepreneurs. We ensure that our local suppliers are well-equipped as they penetrate the larger market,” ended Manila.

MLNI is the marketing arm of CARD MRI, a group of 23 social development-oriented institutions that is in the business of ending poverty. Since its founding in August 2014, MLNI has assisted more than 1,000 clients nationwide.

Microentrepreneurs from Luzon participated in a workshop facilitated by MLNI and SPaCE of the DLS-CSB.
