CARD MRI Publishing House conducts storytelling for kids

As part of CARD MRI’s financial literacy program, CARD MRI Publishing House facilitated a storytelling activity for children during the Kaunlaran Caravan held on August 16, 2019 at Cauayan, Isabela. More than 30 day care pupils from District 2 Child Development Center participated in the event.

The storytelling activity is one of the community development programs of CARD MRI Publishing House. It aims to promote financial literacy among children and highlights the importance of saving. The event featured one of the institution’s publications, a storybook entitled “Ang Magic Alkansya ni Carding.”

According to Marilyn M. Manila, CARD MRI Publishing House President, the storytelling activity is the institution’s way of teaching children about financial matters. “Through this activity, we hope that we can instill among these children the importance of saving and how it will secure their future,” stated Ms. Manila.

“We fervently believe that even at their young age, we must involve our children in the discussion on serious matters such as finances. This is a good way to help them start their saving habits,” added Ms. Manila.

Meanwhile, Cyrene Grace DC. Lubigan, General Manager of CARD MRI Publishing House, attributed the success of the event to the support of the local government and the concerned school, as well.

“We are grateful for the overwhelming support we have received from the barangay, especially its day care center. Their participation shows that they themselves are committed to provide these children holistic learning. We look forward to creating more partnerships with schools as we continue to conduct Kaunlaran Caravan in local communities,” said Ms. Lubigan.

This is the third storytelling event with more than 200 children benefitted to date.
