konek2CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions shall govern your use of the mobile financial services available through konek2CARD, our mobile money services application.
I. Definition of Terms. The following shall mean:
“konek2CARD” shall mean an application refers to mobile financial services that CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, Inc. offers through CARD MRI RIZAL BANK Mobile Financial Services, where customers can perform various bank transactions simply by using their mobile phone wherever they have cellular network coverage.
“konek2CARD User/Client” refers to CARD MRI RIZAL BANK member/client whose savings account is enrolled to konek2CARD system of the Bank.
“Savings Account” refers to the account held with CARD MRI RIZAL BANK in the depositor’s name or personal account. Joint account will not be allowed.
“Account Holder” refers to client/member with active CARD MRI RIZAL BANK account.
“Mobile PIN” refers to the client Mobile Personal Identification Number (MPIN) nominated by the account holder used to authorize every transaction through CARD MRI RIZAL BANK Mobile Financial Services.
“Mobile Password” refers to the personal password nominated by account holder used to login in the mobile application.
“We”, “Us”, “Our”, and “Bank” refer to CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, Inc.
“You” and “Your” refer to the owner of the account.
“SMS” refers to short messaging system.
II. Access to konek2CARD
You may access your account through the konek2CARD application using your mobile phone. konek2CARD services will be available only for the CARD MRI RIZAL BANK accounts you enrolled.
The activation of konek2CARD account is done by sending an SMS with correct information and order. CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to validate the information provided by you. Once your information has been validated, you will receive confirmation from CARD MRI RIZAL BANK through mobile application.
Your registration in konek2CARD will be effective upon your receipt of the Bank’s confirmation of the registration of your account/s in konek2CARD and will remain in full force and effect until we receive from you notice of termination.
The konek2CARD app is designed to be accessible, twenty-four (24) hours a day and seven (7) days a week, and you understand and accept that, at certain times, anyone, some or all of the Banking Services may not be available due to system maintenance, system downtime or Force Majeure. Provided, that scheduled system maintenance shall be announced to the public through the Bank’s official website, news outlets, the Bank’s social media accounts, or any of the Bank’s official communication channels prior to schedule. You agree that the Bank shall in no event be held liable for any delay, non-performance or failure to perform any of its obligations under this Agreement, as well as any and all claims, liabilities, costs, payments, damages and expenses, for reasons due to, arising from or in connection with, directly or indirectly, any such, scheduled and announced system maintenance, system downtime or Force Majeure.
For purposes of dating your konek2CARD transactions, you understand that a bank cut-off time is being implemented. All transactions done before the designated bank cut-off, as stated in this Agreement or as otherwise determined by the Bank, will be posted to your Nominated Account on the same day. Transactions after cut-off on a banking day or those completed on a Saturday, Sunday or bank holiday will be posted on the next banking day.
III. Access to konek2CARD for Replaced Mobile Phone Unit
In the event that the mobile phone used to access konek2CARD was replaced, you must install new mobile application on your new mobile phone and call the customer service to request for deactivation to proceed in re-enrolment.
Mobile phone, Username, Mobile Password & Mobile Personal Identification Number Security.
You shall keep your Username, Mobile Password, MPIN, account number and other account data confidential and secured at all times.
IV. In these Terms and Conditions:
You agree to assume full responsibility and liability for all transactions made in your accounts through the use of your konek2CARD application, Username, Mobile Password and MPIN. You acknowledge and agree that your Username, Mobile Password and MPIN is known only to you and as such, any transaction effected using your Username, Mobile Password and MPIN shall be conclusively presumed to be done by you or authorized by you.
You agree that CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, at its sole discretion, is entitled to act on the instructions received from you through konek2CARD after the correct entry of your Username, Mobile Password and MPIN. You further agree that CARD MRI RIZAL BANK shall not be liable for acting in accordance with or based on requests/instructions received through konek2CARD, which directly or indirectly emanates from you, unless immediate communication was made informing the customer’s service for any mistake or the transaction is unknown to you (hacked or used by another person not the account owner) or the loss or damage is caused by the lapses or omission by the concerned Bank representative.
As a safety measure, you further agree and undertake to change your Mobile Password and MPIN from time to time as you deem necessary. If you believe that your mobile phone, Username, Mobile Password or MPIN may have been lost/stolen or that someone has used it without your permission, you shall immediately notify the CARD MRI RIZAL BANK Customer Service and CARD MRI RIZAL BANK shall immediately de-activate your compromised konek2CARD account Username, Mobile Password and MPIN upon your confirmation.
You must keep your Username, Mobile Password and MPIN totally confidential and secured at all times and not to reveal it to any third party.
When changing your Mobile Password and Mobile Personal Identification Number (MPIN), choose a Password and MPIN which must not relate to any readily accessible data such as your address, telephone number, driver’s license, date of birth and other analogous information and easily predictable combination of numbers. Do not let any unauthorized person have access to your mobile phone or leave your mobile phone unattended while accessing konek2CARD.
V. Authority to the CARD MRI RIZAL Bank
Your banking transactions are permitted through konek2CARD only after authentication of your Username, Mobile Password and MPIN and your instructions made after such authentication shall be sufficient authority to CARD MRI RIZAL BANK for carrying out the banking transaction by you through the application.
The confirmation message that is sent to your mobile application inbox at the time of operation of the konek2CARD application is merely your personal record of the operation of the konek2CARD and shall not be construed as the CARD MRI RIZAL Bank’s record of the relative transactions.
In case of record discrepancies, the CARD MRI RIZAL Bank’s own record of transactions maintained on its computer database system shall be accepted as reference for any dispute. Any discrepancy or dispute between the intended beneficiary or partner and the amount paid and/or any other transaction details involving the use or availment of the konek2CARD app shall be resolved between you and the beneficiary or partner biller. The Bank shall not be held responsible for any such discrepancy or dispute.
In availing of the konek2CARD Services by downloading the konek2CARD app and registering your device as a Linked Device, you agree, consent and allow CARD MRI RIZAL BANK to send you security and service-related announcements through the said konek2CARD app. You understand that you may also enable or disable receiving marketing and/or value-added Push Notifications in the konek2CARD app. If enabled, you authorize CARD MRI RIZAL BANK to send you notifications and announcements even when the konek2CARD app is installed but not launched on your mobile phone.
You agree to hold CARD MRI RIZAL BANK free and harmless from any and all liabilities arising from or in connection with any and all announcements and/or Push Notifications you may or may not receive even when you have downloaded the konek2CARD app and enabled the Push Notifications.
You fully understand that in the event that you decided to no longer receive Push Notifications from the Bank through the konek2CARD app, you can disable it anytime via the konek2CARD app. You further acknowledge, however, that by disabling the Push Notification, you may not be able to receive notifications from the Bank related to your Account or transaction and agree to hold CARD MRI RIZAL BANK free and harmless therefrom.
VI. Accuracy of Information
CARD MRI RIZAL BANK will use reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of information accessed through konek2CARD. Hence, you are responsible for the correctness of the information supplied to CARD MRI RIZAL BANK through the use of konek2CARD or any other means such as electronic mail or written communication. CARD MRI RIZAL BANK accepts no liability for the consequences arising out of erroneous information supplied by you through konek2CARD. If you suspect that there is an error in the information supplied to CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, you must immediately advise CARD MRI RIZAL BANK as soon as possible. CARD MRI RIZAL BANK will endeavor to correct the error whenever possible.
If you notice an error in the account information supplied to you through konek2CARD or by the use of any of the konek2CARD services, you must immediately advise CARD MRI RIZAL BANK as soon as possible. CARD MRI RIZAL BANK will endeavor to correct the error promptly and adjust any interest or charges arising out of the error.
VII. Customer Service
By using these services, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions that will be made available to you concerning these products and services. CARD MRI RIZAL BANK may notify any changes on the existing konek2CARD services or introduce new Products thru this mobile application.
CARD MRI RIZAL BANK shall not be liable for any losses or damages resulting from circumstances over which the Bank has no direct control, including, but not limited to, linking your linked Device, unauthorized access to any OTP sent to your Registered Mobile Number; disclosure of your personal information, Login Credentials, to other persons regardless of whether such disclosure was intentional or inadvertent, the failure of electronic or mechanical equipment or communication lines or other interconnection problems, system downtime, pandemics, epidemics, government actions, severe weather, earthquakes, floods, fire or other such other similar events.
Any requests and complaints shall be submitted through the following facilities/channels of the Bank;

- CARD MRI RIZAL BANK 24-Hour Customer Service
- CARD MRI RIZAL BANK Website (https://www.cardmri.com/rbi/) and Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/CMRBofficial)
In case of urgent concerns or those that may require immediate attention, you shall not rely on electronic mail or forms in CARD MRI RIZAL BANK Website or Facebook Page but instead, you shall immediately call the Bank’s 24-hour Customer Service at (049) 530-7284, 0917-132-7589 (Globe); 0999-880-4785, 0961-017-0677, 0961-017-0676 (Smart); 0969-285-4378, 0961-432-3590 (Smart/Viber); cmrbi.csr@cardmri.com (email)
You agree to provide the Bank with necessary information to be used for the investigation and resolution of your requests and complaints. The Bank shall provide you with the prescribed processing time to resolve a complaint.
You agree that you shall not rely on e-mail communications if you need to communicate with the Bank immediately for whatever urgent purpose, such as but not limited to, the reporting of your lost or stolen phone/sim card or unauthorized transaction in your Account/s. In any of these or similar instances, you shall call the Bank’s 24-hour Customer Service to report your concern.
You agree that the Bank may change the official facilities and channels provided above from time to time. You undertake to keep yourself apprised and updated regarding the Bank’s announcements of changes in its official facilities and channels, as the same may change from time to time, as well as, regarding the Bank’s announcements on online security.
VIII. Service Charges and Taxes
You agree to pay the charges that may be imposed by CARD MRI RIZAL BANK when availing of services and/or products under konek2CARD and the standard SMS, data and call rates that will apply in the course of konek2CARD transactions. CARD MRI RIZAL BANK will deduct the charges directly from your deposit account balance as these were incurred. The Bank is not responsible for the monitoring of your mobile phone charges. It is your responsibility to monitor these charges and to ensure that you have enough mobile credits to transact using the CARD MRI RIZAL Bank’s konek2CARD application. CARD MRI RIZAL BANK will not be liable for dishonor of other debits to your deposit account resulting from the Bank’s deduction of any charges as authorized by your acceptance of these terms.
CARD MRI RIZAL BANK reserves the right to change the charges, fees or other terms described in these Terms and Conditions. When changes are made and/or fees, charges, rates or other material terms are added or removed, konek2CARD Terms and Conditions shall be automatically updated, fifteen (15) banking days after notice to the public of such change/s is/are published/communicated to the consumers through the Mobile App in Broadcast Inbox or through CWE for their information.
You adhere to be responsible from any of the updates on the Terms and Conditions of the konek2CARD and your continuous use of the konek2CARD services before and after the effectivity of the revisions on the Terms and Conditions signifies your adherence unless, otherwise you submitted a formal objection to a particular revision or change to the Customer Service.
As always, you may choose to decline on the changes made either by discontinuing (uninstall/delete) the account/s or disregarding the services to which these changes relate. CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, in its discretion, reserves the option to waive, reduce or reverse charges or fees for individual situations.
IX. Termination of the Agreement
You may request termination of the konek2CARD Service by calling CARD MRI RIZAL Bank’s Customer Service to process your request. You shall remain responsible for the cancellation of the konek2CARD Service.
The agreement comprised in these Terms and Condition shall be deemed to remain in full force and effect if and in so far as any transaction is completed but not debited to your account/s prior to termination of the konek2CARD Service shall not prejudice or omitted to be done prior to termination thereof.
CARD MRI RIZAL BANK may, for security and other reason, withdraw the konek2CARD Service anytime you are given reasonable notice under the circumstances. If the konek2CARD Service is erroneously or negligently withdrawn by the CARD MRI RIZAL BANK for any reason other than your breach of the terms and conditions hereof, CARD MRI RIZAL Bank’s liability shall be restricted to the return of the annual charges, if any, recovered from you for the period in question.
The closure of all your accounts enrolled on the Mobile Financial Service will automatically terminate the service.
The Bank may suspend or terminate your mobile financial service with notice if you breach any of the terms and conditions hereof or the Bank learns of your death, bankruptcy or lack of legal capacity.
X. Miscellaneous
These terms and conditions and the banking practice and charges relating thereof may be changed by CARD MRI RIZAL BANK at any time by notice thereof to the account holder. Any such changes will be effective from the date of notice or such later date as may be specified therein.
Should CARD MRI RIZAL BANK become involved in any litigation which may have relation with this Agreement, or with any of the rights, powers and remedies hereunder, all fees and expenses incurred by CARD MRI RIZAL BANK in such litigation, including reasonable amount for the attorney’s fees which amount is hereby agreed to be at the rate of 10% of the sum sought, shall be paid by the client.
This konek2CARD Agreement is governed by the provisions of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and all applicable laws of the Philippines relating to the covered transactions herein. It shall be understood that access to and use of the konek2CARD Service shall be subject to applicable requirements and procedures of government telecommunications or other regulatory authorities and those prescribed by law.
These Terms and Conditions shall be construed, interpreted, and governed by Philippine laws. Venue of all legal actions or proceeding arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be brought only in the proper courts of San Pablo City, Laguna, or at any venue at the sole discretion of CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, to the exclusions of all other venues.
XI. Waiver and Consent
I hereby agree to be governed by the terms and conditions including the amendments relative to this account.
I signify my consent and agree that CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, Inc. (A) May collect, use and disclose my personal data, as provided in this document, or obtained by CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, Inc., as a result of being its client, for the purpose of processing this document and (B) To the disclosure and sharing of the said information to CARD MRI RIZAL BANK subsidiaries/affiliates; and further understand that I have a right to amend/revise the information that I have provided including deletion of the said information, in accordance with the Data Privacy of 2012 and CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, Inc. Data Protection Policy.
CARD MRI RIZAL BANK may also use my contact details, demographic information to contact me with marketing or promotional information regarding products, services and studies/surveys to be conducted by CARD MRI RIZAL BANK and CARD MRI including phone calls, mail, Email, SMS or any type of electronic message. CARD MRI RIZAL BANK may further use my personal data for the purpose of providing services to me or for other reasonable purposes which are related to the services it provides or improvements/upgrade in its system and business process (including but not limited to data analytics, automated processing, etc.)
After reading, I fully understand and agree to all these Terms and Conditions of CARD MRI RIZAL BANK mobile banking application.
