CaMIA, BotiCARD launch bundled package for CARD Care

Medicine pack from BotiCARD is now included in every CARD Care policy by CARD MRI Insurance Agency (CaMIA). The new product will serve as a bundle package called the BotiCARD Health Plus. It was launched to provide affordable and quality medicines to microfinance clients.

The product is consist of first aid and maintenance medicines such as Ascorbic 500MG tablet, Loperamide 2MG capsule, Paracetamol 500MG tablet, Phenylpropanolamine + Chlrophenamine + Paracetamol, and vitamins for kids like Vitamin B1, B6, B12 tablet.

The vitamins for kids are provided upon the request of the policy holder. Moreover, indications of how to take the medicines are provided in the kit to inform the clients about the use and importance of vitamins for a healthy body.

“The BotiCARD Health Plus hopes to teach the microfinance clients to always have a medicine kit at home and taking vitamins must be practiced in order to attain good health,” said Rosenda P. Aquino, president and chair of BotiCARD.

The bundle package of CARD Care product of CaMIA and BotiCARD Health Plus is offered at P500 valid for one year.

The bundled product was first launched in Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Masbate, National Capital Region (NCR), Oriental Mindoro, Quezon, Rizal, and Tacloban City. “Our clients are very affirmative. It is our goal to roll out this new product nationwide this year,” Aquino shared.

With the collaboration, CaMIA President Vener S. Abellera, said this will enable both the institutions to deliver innovative and better services to the communities they serve.

“We want to break the idea that insurance is expensive and for the well-off families only. Our goal at CaMIA is to provide our clients with affordable microinsurance products because all of us need to be secured in times of uncertainties,” added Abellera.

CARD Care is an insurance product that provides hospital income benefit to replace loss of income when a policy holder is hospitalized. It covers Daily Sickness Hospital Benefit (DSHB) and Daily Accident Hospital Benefit (DAHB) amounting to P200 per day, which is maximum of 15 days per year for the combined DSHB and DAHB. It also has additional coverage of P5,000 for personal accident.

CaMIA and BotiCARD are member institutions of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD) that aims to eradicate poverty through healthcare and microinsurance access.
