How We Do Things
Impact studies show that combining business development with financial services results to a more sustainable microenterprise. Providing business development services can be complex, given that every micro business will have its different needs, but it is also a meaningful intervention from a microfinance institution. With the complexity of providing such services, CARD-BDSFI’s basic approach includes direct delivery, partnership, linkages, value chain development, and equity investments.
Our Community
CARD-BDSFI aims to include the communities we work in, which are mostly rural and indigenous, in the value chain. We work with economically-challenged women who have the skills and talents to create world-class products.
We then link these communities to a network of partners who can help their products and activities known to a bigger market.
